This past Saturday was my thirty-second birthday.

Happy Birthday To Me!
(Gifts are still being accepted and are strongly encouraged)

My day started off with great new board games from JDogg.

(Ticket to Ride is an awesome and new favorite game, if you haven’t played it, you need to overnight it from amazon and play it tomorrow night)
Gifts, followed by breakfast from Stone Soup Kitchen (one of my favorite Atlanta restaurants for brunch), and then a 15 mile run.

My birthday run was especially cold (well, cold for Atlanta) and very rainy. Running and rain is not a good mix for me so I just kept telling myself that it was snow NOT rain.

I met up with these girls along the way.

They are also training for the New Orleans Marathon because they are ROCK STARS.
We ran about 7 miles together then I was on my own again for the last four. I made it through and even managed a smile for the camera at the end.

Later that night, we met up with our good friends for a birthday dinner.

We went to Canoe to eat. I have always heard good things about Canoe but had never been there. It is located on bank of the Chattahoochee River. The outside area by the water was beautiful and the food delicious.

I had the grouper for my meal and followed it up with dessert.

Dessert was buttered popcorn ice cream drizzled with salted caramel sauce and fresh caramel corn on top, YUMMY!
Thanks for all of the emails, phone calls, text messages, Facebook post, and tweets wishing me a happy birthday. I am truly blessed.
If you ever want to hang out and play Ticket to Ride just let me know, I am available!
What is your favorite board game?
How do you feel about rainy runs?

Happy Birthday! I’ve never been to Canoe either, but also heard really good things.
Woot, woot! Catching up on blogs. Thanks for the shout out. In other news, I need new running pants immediately. So glad we’re friends!
